Dear colleagues,

In the fresh collection of articles you can read about the utilization of digital devices as a tool for promoting reading and literacy. The Indian article serves as an  abstractintroduction to the theme, whereas the Romanian, Kenyan and Zambian articles highlight the grassroot level of using tablets or e-book readers, from pilot campaigns to long-term award-winning programs.

In addition to theme articles, we try to make the Section work known and familiar to all interested parties. Midterm meeting report and a short review on Picture Book exhibition will give you an insight of what is going on in the Section at the moment. The Chair, Secretary and we all are welcoming you all to participate in our business meetings in WLIC congress to find out more.

But even if you cannot make it to the conference, you can still participate: contact the article authors if you want more information and feel free to benchmark from their experiences. Also share your own methods, campaigns and reading promotion tips with us. Which devices and applications you find the most useful and how do you keep up with the rapid changes and development of ICT?

You can take part of the conversation on Section facebook page or mailing list. Looking forward to hearing from you!
